The Floating Torii Gates of Ouo Shrine (大魚神社の海中鳥居) in Tara, Saga Prefecture (Kyushu, Japan), are a trio of striking red gates set in the Ariake Sea. Due to the region's extreme tides—which can fluctuate up to 6 meters—the gates appear to float at high tide and can be explored on foot at low tide.
