PCI Express

Peripheral Component Interconnect Express interface, PCI Express, PCIe or PCI-e, is a high-speed serial computer expansion bus standard for personal computers. The PCIe standard is designed to replace PCI, PCI-X and AGP bus standards as the hardware connections of PC motherboard interface. A PCIe interface connection is charactered by the number of simultaneous sending and receiving lines of data. Besides, the PCI Express electrical interface is also commonly used in other interface standards, e.g. the laptop expansion card interface ExpressCard and computer storage interfaces SATA Express, U.2 (SFF-8639) and M.2.
