Server Object
Server ObjectServer object also provides some utility functions on the server. Server.ScriptTimeout PropertyServer.ScriptTimeout Property sets the length of time out period that allowed the script to run on the server. Syntax:Server.ScriptTimeout = NumSeconds Or in an ASP file. Imply <% Server.ScriptTimeout = NumSeconds %> Parameters:NumSeconds The paramete "NumSeconds" specifies the maximum time in second that a script can run before the server terminates it. The default value is 90 seconds. Remarks:The timeout will not take effect while a server component is processing. A default ScriptTimeout can be set for a Web service or Web server by using AspScriptTimeout metabase property. The Server.ScriptTimeout property cannot be set to a value less than that specified in the metabase. If the default value of AspScriptTimeout metabase property is 90 seconds. when the Server.ScriptTimeout property is 10 seconds, the scripts will still time out after 90seconds. However, when the Server.ScriptTimeout property is 100 seconds, the scripts will time out after 100seconds also Examples:
